OUR HISTORY

1960

The history of Niger Biscuit Co Ltd dates back to 1960 when the Company was incorporated in Nigeria for the manufacturing and sales of biscuits, chewing gum and other confectionary products at 35, Creek Road, Apapa, Lagos. Oxford and Dandy Companies in Denmark were appointed as technical partners. Three biscuit production lines from Baker Perkins and two chewing gum lines from Teegarden were commissioned.

1992

The overseas technical assistance with Oxford and Dandy Companies in Denmark were terminated and Niger Biscuit Company Limited became self-sufficient in all operational and technical areas of biscuits and confectionery manufacturing.

1997

A 16,277m₂ property was acquired at 31 Creek Road, Apapa, Lagos to accommodate additional manufacturing lines. Seven new biscuit lines were commissioned.

2010

A 21.33 hectares property at Okelupa/Gbara Village along Ikorodu-Shagamu road in Ogun state was acquired.

2012

Knorr Construction Co was awarded big investment contract to build a new ultra modern facility.

May 2012

Construction commenced.
